Lucky:  Lucky is
a sweet boy who was hit by a car and left for dead. The expert
veterinarian and dedicated supportive staff at Watermelon Mountain
Ranch performed surgery and rehabilitated him. They thought he
would make a decent recovery with some mobility issues but were
shocked when he completely healed without any permanent
damage. The ranch's vet checked him a couple weeks
ago and said that we could proceed with normal training without
concern of any physical limitations. We are working on
reconditioning him so he can regain lost muscle strength. This
beautiful boy is definitely lucky.He now has a beautiful "heel" (which means he walks beside you without forging ahead) and is in the process of learning to "sit". Watch this video to see him in action: Lucky's Show.  When we were discussing Lucky's situation with the Vet, he expressed his shock and dismay at the fact that he had not been adopted yet. He said that Lucky was a very sweet dog and was very friendly during his rehabilitation. They let him roam around the clinic off leash and he was always well behaved and lovable. He has the most charming "smile lines" and eye brow wrinkles. For such a young dog his character is heart warming. Lucky will enrich any family he is accepted into. |
