To Whom it May Concern,
We are proud owners of two wonderful Cairn
Terriers - you know, like Toto in "The Wizard of Oz".
Terriers can be a handful. We have gone to
classes with them, they have been well socialized, and we followed
many of the recommendations in the book "The Art of Raising a Puppy"
by the renowned Monks of New Skete as they were growing
up.
Still, with our older dog Otis, who is now
ten, some problems developed. The problems developed slowly, so
we really did not notice them, until it got to the point that Otis
would not walk with us - and we walk a lot. He also developed some
bad habits in the house - like getting on the kitchen table to look
for food, and shredding the newspaper at the same
time!
Our vet had no idea. I called Watermelon
Mountain Ranch and was given the names of Heather and Rick. We had
them come to our home.
First, we really thought their approach
was great. They watched how the dogs acted, and listened as we
talked about them, and the problems that had begun after many years
with no issues. The meeting with them lasted several hours. We felt
it was terrific. They could see what we could not, being so close to
the dogs.
Well, it is a few months later. Otis
does not get on the table and he also walks well now. In fact, he
has lost a few pounds! His general attitude is better too. He seems
to be much more involved with "the pack", meaning Keddy (our five
year old Cairn), myself, and Monica, my partner.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend the
Dillenders. Please feel free to contact me should you have more
questions.
Regards,
Nancy E. Yarmac
